Boys and young men (fifth grade and above) who wish to contribute the dignified and reverent celebration of the Sacred Liturgy at Prince of Peace by serving the altar are invited to contact Fr. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Masses where it is impossible for ordinary ministers (bishops, priests, and deacons) to effectively distribute Holy Communion in a reverent manner without unduly prolonging the Eucharistic celebration. Catholics who are not in anyway impeded from receiving Holy Communion themselves are invited to contact Fr. Richard Tomlinson if they wish to serve in this way.
Lectors
Lectors assist at Holy Mass by reverently proclaiming the word of God. Those who wish to be lectors should not be impeded from receiving Holy Communion and be willing to participate in a period of formation for this duty. Please contact Fr. Richard Tomlinson about becoming a lector.
The altar society involves ladies of the parish who wish to assist in the reverent and correct celebration of the Sacred Liturgy by cleaning and preparing the linens and vestments used for the celebration of Holy Mass. Anyone wishing to participate in this good work is asked to contact Fr. Richard Tomlinson.
