Sodality of St Monica
St Monica is known and loved by Catholics as the persistent mother, who through her many years of prayer, fasting, and bitter tears, won the grace of conversion for her son, giving the Church one of her greatest minds and one of her most enduring saints: St Augustine. St Monica’s love for her son moved her to storm heaven and not give up until the prayer was answered. She teaches us the importance of patience and persistence in prayer. St Monica is venerated as a powerful intercessor for those who have wandered from the Catholic Church for another denomination or stopped practicing their Faith altogether.
The Prince of Peace Sodality of St Monica is a fellowship of parishioners dedicated to praying for the return of loved ones to the Sacraments and supporting those whose family members have left the Church.
More information on the requirements for membership in the Sodality and its activities are available in the brochures in front of the statue of St Monica in the church.
