Theology of the Body
What does it mean to be a human person created in the image and likeness of God? What does it mean to be created male and female? What is God’s plan for human love and relationships? Find out the answer to these questions and more by studying St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body! We will use Men and Women are from Eden by Dr. Mary Healy and Man and Woman He Created Them: A Theology of the Body by St. John Paul II (optional) as our texts. Both texts are available on Amazon. Join us for 9 weeks on Thursdays at 7p in Parish House beginning 10 January. For more information contact Angela at firstname.lastname@example.org or 331.3903.
Join the Women’s Study group meeting Wednesdays at 7p in Guadalupe Hall, 3 October – 5 December. The topic of study is the virtue of Love using Courageous Love by Stacy Mitch as the study guide. Courageous Love takes seriously the fact that everyone is called to holiness, and offers sound, spiritual guidance to women of all ages and backgrounds. Bring your book and bible! Contact Angela Calabro with questions.
Mulieris Dignitatum (On the Dignity and Vocation of Women) – Join the Women’s Study Group meeting Wednesdays, 9 January – 27 February at 7p in Guadalupe Hall. This apostolic letter contains the theological and philosophical underpinnings of Pope Saint John Paul II’s understanding of woman and her vocation. We are invited to ponder along with the Holy Father, the anthropology of man woman, God’s intention for their relationship, woman’s vocation to motherhood, and the Church as Bride of Christ. John Paul II offers age old truth with a freshness of thought that explains how “feminine genius” is essential to building a civilization of life and love. To order a study guide ($35), follow this link to the Endow website: https://endowgroups.org/groups/prince-of-peace-womens-group For more information, contact Angela Calabro.
